Americans Are Waking Up

A growing number of Americans believe John McCain has attacked Barack Obama unfairly, a negative perception of the Arizona senator that could cost him at the polls on Election Day.

According to a new survey from CNN and the Opinion Research Corp., nearly six in 10 Americans believe McCain has unfairly gone negative in his bid for the White House.

It is long overdue that Americans reject the vile tactics of the McCain campaign. It is sickening and disgusting the amount of visceral anger, distortions, and vulgarities that are coming from John McCain, Sarah Palin, the McCain campaign, and many of their followers. These people are so afraid of losing the White House and control of both Houses that they know no bounds in spitting out hate filled rhetoric. Unlike in previous elections, Americans are not falling for negative campaigning and thankfully so.

It is utterly contemptible to hear “Kill him!” and “Terrorist!” getting shouted at their campaign rallies only because the candidates themselves are inciting their followers. Then, of course, there are the robocalls, and the actions of their volunteer workers who are being encouraged to equate Obama with terrorism and other hateful things that are utterly contemptible. Then as if that were not enough, Sarah Palin and John McCain are referring to Obama as a socialist that is prompting their followers to not only call Obama a socialist, but a Marxist as well without even knowing what they mean, some are even hanging banners at McCain and Palin rallies with those words and Obama’s name on them.

Thankfully Americans are rejecting this as it beyond unacceptable to hear this coming from people who want to be the President and Vice President of the United States. This is a free country, not 1930’s Nazi Germany, or the Jim Crow south, or the McCarthyist 50’s. Both McCain and Palin deserve to lose the race to the White House, they deserve to lose it by a landslide.

Come November fourth McCain, Palin, and the Republican Party are going to learn firsthand the power of an awakened electorate as they lose the race with a landslide victory for Obama and Biden.

  1. Palin won’t release medical records because the baby Trig is npt her’s b ut her daughters. The records would dhow this.

Why is Palin a member of the terriorist group Alaska Independant Party who’s motto is “ I’m an Alaskan, not an American I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions”.

  2. It has been one thing after another. First Rev Wright with no mention of John McCains preacher, Hagee and his distain for all Catholics. Then Obama didn’t have his flag pin. If you notice, McCain seldom wears his. Then Obama’s patriotism, his nationality, his middle name and him being a Muslin. How can you have a preacher for 20 years that baptised your kids but you still call him a Muslin. Now Bill Ayers, and no mention to McCains tight ties with Gordon Liddy. No mention of McCain being an Advisory for Iraq-Contra Affairs. No mention of Cindy McCains drug addiction. No mention of McCains friendship with Mobster Joe Bonanno. McCain has shown NO HONOR during this election and winning is all he cares about. He has thrown his buddy Bush under the bus, Obama under the bus and now Colin Powell. Not to say that McCain has begged Powell for a year for his endorsement.

  3. Vile tactics? Did you not hear the horrible attacks on Gov Palin the past 8 weeks? Pretty one sided. How about the comment above? Liberals can smear anyone they want but cry foul if someone brings up a point on Obama that is legitimate. I think the attacks on Obama are working and you know it. Keep it up John. How about the nightly sneering from Olberman?

  5. The attacks on Obama are not working on the Independents. They hate it. But McCain is 72 so when he is defeated he can just go home and relax. It won’t matter that he is forever going to be remembered in the history books for waging a very nasty, divisive campaign. All Obama does is fend off attacks. It is a good thing we know already know that Obama will not raise taxes on you if you make $250,000 or less. That is a good thing for people like me, no matter how the Republicans try to spin it. It is fantastic that he made sure we knew about his tax plan because he doesn’t have a minute to tell us now what with all the defensive speeches he has to make. Hey…I just realized something. That is why McCain’s camp are attacking him. So he CAN’T talk about his plan. But McCain, it won’t work. WE ALREADY KNOW THE PLAN. already know the plan!

  7. Mc Cain is definately in a panic mode right now as he was when he shut down his campaign to rush to Washington. These actions speak volumes about the mental state of this man. Cindy, his wife, better start shopping for rest homes not drapes for the oval office.

  8. What about the Teflon Obama comments? Whys is this only shedding light on McCain’s comments. VERY on sided has been since the primary. I am a Democrat voting for McCain.

  9. Kathy, things are very one sided, no one is criticizing McCain for having an active friendship with convicted felon G. Gordon Liddy, a man who advocates shooting police officers in the head, and a man who holds fundraisers in his home for McCain with McCain in attendance. Not one word.

  10. Still very one sided in my opinion and obama in the white house is very firghtening to me.

  11. It is not one sided. There is a lot that has not been talked about concerning McCain and Plain, yet is ok to make baseless unfounded accusations on a daily basis, that have been proven wrong, yet keep getting repeated by McCain and Palin. Furthermore, it is unacceptable for Palin and McCain to incite hatred at their rallies when they are associated with organizations that advocate cession from the Union, very anti-American, and are close friends with convicted felons who want to murder police officers. Frankly, I am not interested in putting hypocrites like those two in office. They are the most backward, hate filled candidates who have run for office.
