Palin is Over the Edge

Clearly McCain and Palin have become extremely desperate in the waning days of the campaign as time is running out and their campaign is sinking in the polls. So what do they do, they send out the Pentecostal member of the campaign, Sarah Palin, to make an attack against Obama for meeting with a former member of the Weather Underground, someone who has been proven not to know Obama personally.

It is interesting that there was an effort by the Republicans and the McCain campaign not to talk about Sarah Palin’s Pentecostal background. I wonder why? Could it be that she attends a church that routinely invites a pastor from Kenya who is a self proclaimed witch hunter that prayed over Sarah Palin while she was campaigning to be governor of Alaska? Yes, it is true.

About Pastor Muthee:

According to the Christian Science Monitor, six months of fervent prayer and research identified the source of the witchcraft as a local woman called Mama Jane, who ran a “divination” centre called the Emmanuel Clinic.

Her alleged involvement in fortune-telling and the fact that she lived near the site of a number of fatal car accidents led Pastor Muthee to publicly declare her a witch responsible for the town’s ills, and order her to offer up her soul for salvation or leave Kiambu.

After Pastor Muthee declared Mama Jane a witch, the townspeople became suspicious and began to turn on her, demanding that she be stoned. Public outrage eventually led the police to raid her home, where they fired gunshots, killing a pet python which they believed to be a demon.

Times of London

Mudflats

As recently as June of 2008 she is video tapped at her church talking about the event and praising Pastor Muthee. Ms. Palin has absolutely no room to criticize anyone about their relationships with anyone given her extreme past and present. She associates with a known witch hunter and is proud of it.

  1. Yeah, she’s desperate after polls show that she was somewhat favorable but only to the hockey moms voting Republican. So you know it is desperation and it’s not a big secret.

  2. This is the last straw. We need to be OUTRAGED by the behavior of this religious fanatic. We need to be OUTRAGED at McCain’s lack of integrity. We need to show up in massive numbers on November 4th to THROW THE BUMS OUT. From the court house to the state house and above all, the White house… VOTE DEMOCRATIC. The only white house Sarah Palin should ever see is an IGLOO!

  6. I am saddened by Ms Palin’s remark. I still cannot believe a woman of her caliber can stoop that low and make such a remark without doing her own research. It is sad that there are people out there who still listen to such crap and still support her bid for vice presidency. I believe Americans are tired of being lied to, being put in fear during elections and other public holidays with such terrorist remarks. My God, please forgive her for she does not know what she is saying. Forgive her mentors who are greedy for power and will do anything to get it and please dear lord, let her faith conscious take control and stop lying to us for as a christian she has failed…amen

  8. this story is true, Obams is telling bold face lie it is not, just goggle Annenberg Obama/Ayers . Anneburg payed up to 160 million to Ayers, the son of a Chicago politician , for community organizing, Obama was hired in part to oversee the effort. Ayers and Obama worked together. Obama Knows Ayers, well , it was Ayers that got Obama connection for his ‘political’ career As recent as right after 9/11 Ayers said he wished he had done more damage to the pentagon, after being charged and let off on a technicality. This is all true, koolaid drinkers, toss out your straws,,, and the rest of you anti patriotic voters who know this association is true,,, shame on you, for trying to say the McCain campaign is not telling the truth!

  12. Does the McCain campaign and in particular Palin think the American public is totally stupid? Perhaps a few are are and will believe this crap about Obama running with terrorists, but hopefully not enough for the Republicans to win the election. Shame on you Gov. Palin.

Let’s get them scare so they will vote on us. That is the strategy. So wrong, so shameful, so stupid! Now I understand why they are calling him McShame. Shame on you, McCain! Shame on you Palin!

  15. SARAH PALIN IS A SCARY AND EVIL PERSON. WHY IN GOD’S NAME DID SHE HAVE TO BE PRAYED OVER TO RELEASE WITCHCRAFT? THAT IS NOT RELIGION, IT IS A CULT AND THEY ARE TRAINING GOOD LITTLE SOLDIERS TO GO OUT FROM ALASKA AND SPREAD THEIR PROPAGANDA. TAKE A LOOK AT THE WASILLA ASSEMBLY OF GOD WEBSITE. IT WILL TRULY GIVE YOU THE CREEPS. THIS IS NOT RELIGION IT IS A CULT. AND ANYONE WHO WOULD ATTEMPT TO ELECT THIS PAIR OF LOONEYS HAS TO BE LIVING UNDERGROUND THEMSELVES. THE ECONOMY IS THE TOPIC AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE TOPIC AND REPUBLICANS CAN JUST GET OVER IT. THESE RUMORS HAVE NOT WORKED BEFORE AND WILL NOT AGAIN

    First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a communist;
    Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a socialist;
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out–
    because I was not a Jew;
    Then they came for me–
    and there was no one left to speak out for me.
    THIS COULD ALL HAPPEN IN A MCCAIN/PALIN ADMINISTRATION BECAUSE WE DO NOT BELIEVE AS THEY DO.

  18. Let’s see how the Sunday talking heads treat this — if at all.

    These are not Governor Palin’s words, it is the Mc Cain campaign. Palin is clueless so lets put the blame where it belongs.

    Hey, is it true she had to go to 6 colleges in 4 years because she kept getting thrown out of college for having sex with the professors? Just curious

    Comment by Dan — October 5, 2008 @ 12:10 am

  21. I forget where I copied this from, but why isn’t anyone asking her, publicaly, her association with Alaska Independence Party. She speaks at every meeting they have. She obviously supports it.

    “Over the years, Palin has actively courted the Alaska Independence Party, or AIP, an organization that supports Alaskan secession from the U.S. To be clear, we’re not necessarily talking about friendly secession either: As the AIP’s founder, Joe Vogler, told an interviewer in 1991: “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. … And I won’t be buried under their damn flag.”

    The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. could learn from this man.

    Share Vogler’s sentiment? You can purchase a “Joe was right!” T-shirt on the AIP’s website for $25. The AIP’s website also provides helpful links to other secessionist groups, including the Southern Independence Party of Tennessee (which boasts of going after “these Politically Correct Liberal Communist[s]”), Ulster nationalists and Chechen separatists.

    The McCain campaign denies that Palin ever joined the AIP. But while it is in dispute whether she attended its 1994 convention, she did visit the 2000 one and addressed AIP conventions in 2006 and 2008. Her husband, Todd, was a registered AIP member from 1995 to 2002, and the AIP leadership certainly considers her one of their own”

    Seriously, if Obama’s wife was a part of a part that advocated secession from the United States and Obama was energetically praising the “good work” of that secessionist party, he would be crucified by the media and the Republicans. It is nothing short of sedition. How can people brush this off? It’s sickening.

  22. Sarah Palin believes that Barack Obama “pals around with” terrorists. To quote a line made famous during the McCarthy HUAC hearings in the 1950’s, I would ask Palin this: Have you no sense of decency? Palin is referring to the fact that former Weatherman Billy Ayers supported Obama during an election in Chicago in the mid-nineties and that they are still “pals”. Ayers, who is now a distinguished professor at the University of Chicago and author of several books on education, was a radical anti-government fugitive during the Vietnam war. Unlike true terrorists, even when Ayers was at his most radical he did not randomly attack innocent people, so Palin’s characterization is inaccurate. In fact, Ayers was never charged with causing anyone an injury, much less their death. He was a violent protestor who was enraged by a grossly unjust war, which I’m sure gains him no sympathy from John McCain. Now, nearly 40 years later, Palin equates Ayers with Osama Bin Laden, and then accuses the first black candidate for U.S. president of consorting with him. This is Joseph McCarthy all over again. Palin should be ashamed of herself, and John McCain should put a stop to this irresponsible, and un-American behavior by his running mate. God help us all if this woman ever had any real power.

    Of course, Sarah Palin doesn’t really believe that Barack Obama “pals around with” terrorists. It just helps her get sound bytes on the evening news. To quote a line made famous during the McCarthy HUAC hearings in the 1950’s, I would ask Palin this: Have you no sense of decency? Take off your blinders and do some research. Not only is Obama friendly with this guy (they didn’t just meet a few times they sat on the board for the Annenberg Challenge together) but he is also calls Mike Klonsky, Tony Rezko, Jerimiah Wright and has Franklin Raines(you know, the guy who cooked the books for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) his friends. WAKE UP AMERICA!! This guy will say one thing to your face and then talk behind your back. He has no moral fiber and obviously, has very poor judgement! If you elect him, we are all in a world of hurt.

  29. I DONT THINK PALIN’S COMMENTS ARE OVER THE EDGE. WOULD WE ACCEPT ANY POLITICIAN EVEN IF THEY ARE CURSORY FRIENDS WITH OSAMA BIN LADEN EVEN AFTER 10 or 20 YEARS???? AYERS IS A TERRORIST WHO HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LIVES OF SEVERAL PEOPLE. EVEN TO THIS DAY HE HAS NOT APLOGIZED OR GIVEN ALL THE TRUTH OF HIS ACTIVITIES (READ THE SAME TIMES ARTICLE) ON 9/11/2001, AYERS HAD COMMENTED THAT HE REGRETS THAT MORE BOMBINGS WERE NOT DONE AND SOMEHOW JUSTIFIES THAT BECAUSE HE WAS TARGETTING PROPERTY DAMAGE PRIMARILY, HE IS A BETTER TERRORIST. I WOULD ASSUME IF BY SOME LUCK OSAMA BIN LADEN IS STILL ALIVE IS NEVER PROSECUTED AND LIVES IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, YOU WOULDNT BE GREETING AND MEETING HIM MUCH LESS BE PALS WITH HIM. SO YES, PALIN’S WORDS ARE NOT OVER THE EDGE. THEY ARE FACTUALLY ACCURATE AND FOR THE LIFE OF ME I COULD NOT EVEN IMAGINE HOW HE CAN EVEN BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS HIGH OFFICE!!!!!

  30. THE REAL ISSUE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY IS: Senator Obama met this acquitted Ayers during the time he was in politics. Professor Ayers allegedly was involved in an act of terror when Senator Obama was a minor (approx. age 9). Obama has had no contact for years although Ayers and Obama served on some community board together in Chicago. An attack such as this is serious mudslinging. What the real issue is since mud is being slung, is Senator McCain’s association with Keating and the Savings and Loan investigation. Although Senator McCain was exonerated, the Congressional Report indicate a serious “lack of judgement” based on the allegations of this particular “Keating Five” matter. And Governor Palin needs to look into her own house and let the Troopergate situation resolve itself prior to November so the American People can determine what role she had to play.

But no one will because of the media blackout surrounding her. Does it really surprise anyone that the campaign refuses to let her do any interviews….

  34. I hope the “The Real Issue” would also supply the tax rates during the republican and democratic years. I would bet that the tax rates were lower in the republican years and higher during the democratic years. Pls dont be dubious by comparing the personal income tax rates. Include the business tax rates too. Because businesses are not growing money to pay that tax. They charge the customers and pay the taxes. So you and i are paying the business taxes as well.

    What these numbers show that government (rep or dem) is not able or willing to reign in its spending. They just want our money to do what they want. Just look at Obama’s reckless attitude of rejecting Federal money for the campaign. He is planning to raise millions of dollars for the campaign and had already done so. Whose money? yours and mine… hardworking people. Add to it that Obama contributed less thatn 2% to charities over the years compared to well over 10-20% of every other politician. Yet he doesnt hesitate even a second to ask you and me to contribute handsomely for his lavish campaign. You might hate Huckabee all you want but atleast he showed how to run a campaign on a lean budget. I would like to see a candidate who can run a national campaign within the Fed money and even return some of it at the end of the season. That one would be worthy of our votes.

    Not only is she clueless on national issues, she has so many skeltons in her closet it’s not even funny.

    I find it a real disgrace that the media doesn’t call her out and make her answer questions about her past. Red flags should be going up to the voters when a candidate has been shielded from answering questions to this degree. It is the responsibility of CNN and the media in general to interview and find out what she is really about.

The 5 Republican presidents inclusive of President Bush have always claimed Fiscal Conservatism, but haven’t balanced any budgets and haven’t stimulated any economy….GREAT DEPRESSION-COOLIDGE/HOOVER….RECESSION PLUS WALL STREET BAILOUT-PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH…this is historic and Bush’s legacy will be printed. It’s not about what you are talking about…Charitable contributions….who cares—this will never be in any history book….and Huckabee dropped out of the race because he couldn’t win the nomination….THE REAL ISSUE THAT I MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY IS HISTORY AND THE FACT PERIOD!!!!

    Oh, yes, I voted for Republicans before but not again because now I look at the Republican history, and the issues…..REPUBLICAN DEREGULATION/LAISSEZ FARE GOVERNMENT has never worked and will never work. IT’S “VOODOO” AND THAT WORD came from the late President Reagan in his debate with his later selected Vice-president George Bush….it allows for corporations to run in the market with few rules….and it “trickles” to a depressive/recessionary economic situation which exists today and occured during the GREAT DEPRESSION!!!

True, Ayers is and should be considered a terrorist. It should be assumed that he has been under careful watch for quite some time. In fact, he has been–and will always be–on the “list” of volatile people whom we do not need amongst us. However, to attach Senator Obama to such a radical movement is absurd. Clearly, Senator McCain is resorting to the lowest form of political campaigning. This attitude responds to fear. He knows this election is virtually lost in favor of change and the only tool left for them to use is allegation. I could not care less about Ayers and I would have preferred to see him behind bars for life, possibly sharing a cell with OJ Simpson. However, Senator Obama has rejected Ayers’ views publicly and distanced himself from this character at all times. I fear Ms. Palin’s views and lack of understanding above all else. Senator McCain is far too senior to leave the highest office in the land in the hands of such an incompetent person. Incidentally, have we forgotten her association with the AIP in Alaska? Talk about radical and fanatical. When the founder of the group you support openly states that “the fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. … And I won’t be buried under their damn flag” we need to worry because these are “unidentified” seriously troubled people who could inflict great anxiety in our form of Government. We had a similar situation back in 1861 and it cost us a great deal of anguish.

    Beyond Ayers, we must focus on a loftier issue that has been created by our current administration…the $700 Billion loan that we just signed into law. If this fails, the consequences will be–no longer “could be”–disastrous. Between my mortgage, my kid’s college fund, my own debt, my medical concerns, and the price of gas that I desperately need to get to work and protect my job, Ms. Palin’s allegations are the absolute least of my concerns and I find them to be as preposterous as they are ignorant. I believe she could use a “six pack” right about now to kill the big bug she has up her butt (pardon my rudeness)

  49. Wow. Now we have a first rate lunatic amongst us. Behold, her name is Sarah Palin. This person will stop at nothing…now accusing Barack Obama as having Terrorist Pals. She is a terrorist in this country provoking fear. Isn’t that the goal of a terrorist? This person is so really whacko!!!

  50. Susan,

    I am so glad to see that you and others are researching and seeking the truth. We let President Bush use those “Swiftboat tactics” at the last election and look what we have– recessionary conditions with a bailout that may or may not work.

    As Americans, we should investigate the truth and only the truth because the “truth” will set us free. I’LL QUOTE THE LAST SARAH PALIN REMARK AT THE DEBATE….”Never again” which I know is not really her REMARK, however I want to use it to say that we can NEVER AGAIN support Republicans and/or Democrats who cannot initiate policies that provide MAINSTREET AND THE AVERAGE AMERICAN CITIZEN jobs/opportunity-college loans and better yet-grants and scholarships/ keeping people in their homes with reasonable fully backed loans/ real jobs that provide for 30+ years of security which includes health care and a livable wage based on the work ethic of the individual. AND AN ECONOMY that is bottom-up based on people working and producing not people scamming and taking other people’s money (i.e. predatory lending-Wall Street deregulation policies-CEO’s and higher ups mismanaging a company and getting paid with millions while others are losing jobs-losing homes, losing retirements, losing 401K’s and losing an opportunity to live the opportunity that every American’s can and should experience. THESE ARE THE ISSUES AND SENATOR MCCAIN HAS SHOWN HIS NON-SUPPORT BY VOTING 90-95% with the failed policies of President George Bush. THIS IS Senator McCain’s RECORD AND THE REAL ISSUE!!!!

  51. The McCain campaign is having her do the dirty work since her name is already tarnished due to her clear lack of Political knowledge. The word is already out that the McCain campaign is stooping to the tactic of trying to attack Obama’s prestigious character. That’s exactly why Republican families like ours will be voting for Obama this year.

  52. Obama was “palling around with terrorists who target their own country”
    Don’t even get me started on Cheney and 9/11.
    Yeah, this is good manure coming from a secessionist. While Obama’s exposure to Ayers (who, incidentally had all charges against him thrown out or dropped in 1974) was when he was 8 years old, never belonged to the same organization as Ayers and never expressed any sympathy or solidarity to the Weather Underground or Ayers …Palin was the wife of a long-standing member of the Alaska First Party; a secessionist movement who’s sole aim is to break Alaska away from the Unithed States of America ro become an independant soverign nation unyo itself. She has expressed support for the group and has spoken at their rallys, and unlike Obama and his alleged “palling around” with a terrorist organization when he was 8 years old, she was married to and fucking a traitor to this country. Sounds a little more serious than “palling around” to me when you’re that close and sympathetic to someone who actively works to tear the USA apart.

  53. I would myself take the advice of William Ayers and his wife, rehabilitated Weather Underground members, about their current areas of expertise. He is now an Ed.D. and an adviser to the Chicago school system, while his wife is a psychologist at Northwestern. Barak was about 5 years old when the two were last revolutionaries. And I would take the advice of Senator McCain about campaign reform, though not about ethics or shady associates: he was one of five senators of the “Keating 5,” three of whom quit politics years and years ago over their roles in an S&L scandal that cost the public $3.5 billion. (Remember Judge Lance Ito, who lost the state prosecution of McCain through his faulty jury instructions?) Who is acting more like their earlier selves–Ayers, who is now a respected educational consultant? Or McCain, who still is surrounded by ethical and judgment problems? Consider how McCain chose Palin, who used state power to badger a state trooper out of his job, and who , accepted the millions of dollars she says she opposed. This is NOW, now decades back.

  54. This is just getting silly! Palin needs to quit! How can she publicly disagree with her boss about pulling out of Michigan? Now she is making stupid statements as if Obama wants America to be attacked! SARAH PLEASE QUIT! You are going to make this the easiest election of all time!

    This story is OLD and DISCREDITED.

    Ask Sarah Sixpack why her husband was a member of a secessionist party for SEVEN YEARS, dammit. The founder “damned” America and our flag. Any patriots want to vote for her? REALLY? I don’t.

    READ THIS and decide if Sarah Sixpack is a patriot. Country first? Which country is that?

    Sarah Sixpack should know better than to throw rocks when living in a glass house.

  57. Do you really think people are going to vote for Mcain and his sideshow? Aside from the few remaining ignorant, delusional headinthesand fools, I doubt anyone will. I have faith most Americans by now know that this Mcain-Palin duo is a joke that inuslts your intelligence. These comments and stunts like the VP debate are only a distraction. The continued raping of the American economy is appalling and I only hope the current administration won’t have time to put more Americans out of homes and deeper into debt.

  60. Americans, the more Governor Sarah Palin talks, the better. She has little to say….She is not talking about the issues…she is attempting to tear down Senator Obama. But this will not work. “NEVER AGAIN SARAH” —I LOVE IT WHEN YOU TALK!!! YOU ARE A ROCK STAR-YOU DRAW CROWDS, SO DOES SENATOR MCCAIN, SENATOR OBAMA, SENATOR BIDEN, PRESIDENT CLINTON, SENATOR CLINTON AND EVEN MICHELE OBAMA…BUT THE MEDIA IS ON YOU BECAUSE THEY CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO SAY SOMETHING THEY CAN PRINT!!!!!BECAUSE THEY WANT TO PRINT THE MISTAKE…..BECAUSE GOVERNMENT PALIN DOES NOT TALK ABOUT ISSUES EXCEPT “Obama is associated with Ayers”

    And the polls are showing it….The largest states except for Texas are led by Senators Obama/Biden..The Clintons have said they will win!! President Clinton says they will win big!!….YOU ARE SEEING IT RIGHT HERE—-OBAMA-BIDEN-300 PLUS…300+ ELECTORAL VOTES…..CALIFORNIA-NEW YORK-FLORIDA-MICHIGAN-PENNSYLVANIA-OHIO-ILLINOIS-VIRGINIA—MAYBE INDIANA–SENIORS-WOMEN-NEW VOTERS-YOUNG VOTERS–MEN—is that 270 Electoral Votes!!!!if not it’s close…..

    Senator McCain has a loose canon that is missing the target and that target is the ISSUE.

    And Americans, please do not forget the issues of THE two (2)….
    WORSE ECONOMIC PROBLEMS WITH PRESIDENTS….

    REPUBLICAN HERBERT HOOVER-GREAT DEPRESSION///
    REPUBLICAN GEORGE BUSH-LARGEST DEFICIT $480B plus use of the Clinton $200B surplus plus $700B Wall Street reformation bill = 1.38 TRILLION

    Herbert Hoover–Laissez Fare Government;
    George Bush-Deregulation
    Senator John McCain-90-95% Bush policy votes

    Economic Recovery Presidents: Democratic Franklin D. Roosevelt/ Defeated Herbert Hoover and led the U.S. out of the Great Depression and developed regulation programs for banks that exist today! (FDIC)
    Democrat William J. Clinton/ $200B Surplus-may have created more jobs than the 3 Republican presidents have done in 20 years….Reagan-8 years/ Bush 1-4 years/ Bush 2-7 years-9 months.

    THIS IS HISTORIC–THESE ARE THE FACTS AND THE REAL ISSUES!!!!

  61. Over the edge is the right word to describe the situation; however the sad news is that the blind supporter of the any candidate only believe what they want and do not see the truth. Would anyone explain to me why there is not a single picture of the Governor of Alaska pregnant with the last baby presumably she had couple of months ago? Could that be the daughter’s? I might be wrong, God forgive me if i am, and open the eyes of the voters. The Globe is getting smaller and we can afford being alienated from the everyone else by someone who does not know what newspaper she reads, not believe in freedom.
