McCain Runs Scared

Isn’t it convenient that once the polls show that Obama is regaining the lead in the presidential race, a debate imminent, and the press starting to clamor to free Sarah Palin, so she can speak for herself ,when McCain decides to suspend his campaign and go running back to Washington to “work”. The message is loud and clear that McCain is running scared, that he does not want to talk about the issues.

The truth is that President Bush and the current Congress lead by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid will be the ones to set the agenda for dealing with the economic environment. Both candidates are completely capable of dealing with the current environment while campaigning, presidents often have handled many difficult tasks and difficult issues, this is no different. We need to hear what their positions are and what their plans are for the next four years. They, or rather we, are going to have deal with the aftermath of decisions made today over the next four years and what they plan on doing to carry us forward, not hiding in a senate hearing.

Standup, be a leader, and show us that you can take the heat. Suspending a campaign and possibly undermining the election process is a dangerous precedent to set. That is what it looks like McCain is doing because he too scared to face his opponent.

  1. Here Here! McCain can’t debate because he can’t have cue cards or a teleprompter. Also, Obama went up against Bill O’Reily and held his own, you don’t see McCain going up against Keith Oberman or Lou Dobbs. McCain has been a part of the problem all these years, he was passed off as a buffoon by the Republicans in the last election, now congress can’t do this without him! what an ego! Obama knows how to use technology to keep in touch, computers, video conference and e-mail, McCain doesn’t even know where the on button is. Advantage Obama, he knows how to multitask. Obama wouldn’t be tired after a long day to go on to fly into town and debate. McCain is an old bot has been, Palin is a buffoon who panders to the right wing nut jobs. Vote Obama

  2. McCain is afraid. Hoping Obama would fall prey
to this obvious “fairy tale”. McCain is too old.
Palin needs to nurse her baby and pregant teen daughter.

  3. He USED to be a hero. The old guy has lost his nerve. Now he’s resorting playground tactics. You know–when a kid realizes he’s losing badly, he comes up with something like, “Oh my gosh, I almost forgot, I’ve got to go home and take out the trash!”

  4. McCain is looking older and older every day. He is not up to the task of being president. Shame on the Republicans for throwing him out there into this fray that he really cannot handle. He has had to resort to theatrics to remain in the running. Palin carried him along for awhile and now that isn’t working. There is some other news that is coming out about McCain’s campaign manager. And Palin is in the same boat, way over her head.
