Bush to Endorse McCain at the Republican Convention Tonight

If there is one endorsement that McCain needs to be avoiding like the plague; it is one coming from George W. Bush. Tonight Bush is expected to say that McCain is ‘ready to lead this nation’. Oh? According to excerpts of Bush’s speech he is expected to say: “To protect America, we must stay on the offense, stop attacks before they happen and not wait to be hit again. The man we need is John McCain.” By staying in a war for 50 to 100 years, financed with foreign held debt that is costing us billions of dollars a day? America will not have to wait for further attacks all America will have to do is sit back and wait for the weight of a foreign financed debt of trillions upon trillions of dollars to come home to roost.

McCain is ready to lead? By demonstrating in his first major decision by putting Sarah Palin on the ticket; a woman he met just two days before he announced her as his running mate? This is his defense when questioned about his vetting just today, “My vetting process was completely thorough and I am grateful with the results.” That is not a defense, John. She already has the campaign in a whirl of scandal and you are “grateful with the results”? Even Bob Barr former Republican Congressman talked this weekend during an interview and strongly inferred that she was a bad choice.

McCain is ready to lead? McCain has stated that the economy is in great shape while the number of personal bankruptcies have soared over the last year, not to mention the number of the business failures, bank failures, foreclosures, and a credit crisis. That is not leading that is sticking your head in the sand.

An endorsement from Bush is stating the obvious, with McCain as president it will be another four years of George W. Bush’s failed policies.

  2. “the kind of character that civilizations from the beginning of history have sought in their leaders: strength. Courage. Humility. Wisdom. Duty. Honor.” ~ Sen. Fred Thompson

And this is why America and Iraq have been ruined by the corporate criminals Bush and Cheney.

They have NONE of those qualities.

  3. The Angry Left??? Coming from the lips of the man that has brought us to the worst American Disaster of our small history!!!

During this weekend the media has gone crazy trying to dig out information about the alleged misuse of power and rank from Gov. Pilin, to get her ex- brother in-law fired. Today we had our own President do it, in National television.

Our President telecast from the White House, endorsing Senator John McCain and his running mate Gov. Sarah Pilin was a total abused of power. He not only belittles all of us who oppose his policies and his administration, he called us “THE ANGRY LEFT!!!’

We are not the angry left Mr. President; we are the people of America. We are the same people that keep you and empowered you, the people that pay for your salary and your wife’s social outings. We are the people of this country that are suffering because of your wrong judgment and your bad decisions.

It is so offensive to see you take our White House as your political playground and see you addressed us with such disrespect.

As for John McCain, what I gather is that he is a warrior, a man of deep faith in fighting for what he believes. But in this world of terror and hate, the last thing we need is a bully, someone that according to Fred Thompson “A president who feels no need to apologize for the United States of America.”

Well Mr. Thompson, I think that we not only need to apologize but we most. We are just one country out of 193 plus countries and territories in the world and all we do, all we don’t do affect other people. It is not only our responsibility to think about our neighbors it is the moral and right thing to do.

All and all the convention message was one of segregation, abused of rank and power and it left me feeling scared that so many Americans can see this and cheer while there were US citizens outside the Republican national Convention been gassed because they were exercising their right to speak their minds.

It is a sad night as much as when President George W. Bush was elected for his second term and I hope that in the next two months these audience can see what so many of the citizens of the world are seeing!!!

  4. The Republican party stands for LESS GOVERNMENT CONTROL and SPENDING, LOWER TAXES, NATIONAL DEFENSE and the PEOPLE…

The Dem’s: BIG GOV – MORE TAXES, MORE GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND MORE SPENDING, MORE HANDOUTS TO THOSE LEECHING OFF OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS TO BEGIN WITH. THEY STAND FOR THE NOTION THAT EVERYONE IS “ENTITLED” TO BE THE SAME…

Newsflash – all men are CREATED equally – what they do with their lives from that point is their own responsibility – not mine, not yours, not your neighbors.

You guys ARE the angry left.

Palins daughters choice/decision/actions have nothing to do with her abilitity to perform as VP. So, her husband got a DUI when he was 22? Well, at that age Obama was doing COCAINE (and admits to it).. which is worse? somebody’s husband having too many beers two decades ago, or the person running for president snorting BLOW?

By the way, her track record clearly stomps all over Obama’s re.. wait, he has no record – he was a community organizer (and voted in the Senate) So.. who’s unqualifed here?

I find it very humourous that nobody ON THE LEFT realizes the energy crisis, and the mortgage crisis in this country are both a result of the liberal ran congress… gas wouldnt be at the price it is, if the left didnt block us from using our own resources (and we are the only country in the world that doesnt). AND the mortgage crisis is a result of your own giving the OK to lend all that money to people who cant afford to pay it back.

You guys scream for change and fail to see that Obama and the left want to continue and inflict even more of what you think is going on right now.. oh, also failing to see that unemployment is down and the ecomony is on the rise.. but then again, all you can read is about Sarah Palin’s daughter for some reason… odd considering all of Obamas ties to Tony R., Bill A., Rev. W, Rev Pf., his Hamas endorsments…

Nobody on the left bothers to look into those things before deciding who is the better candidate to run our country.. they just hear “hope” and “change” and fall right into the fold..

  5. Jason,

No one on the right bothers to look at the skeletons in their closet. They get up on their soapbox and preach ‘family values’ all the while cheat on their wives, have sex with male Senate pageboys, and do not see the hypocrisy of preaching abstinence all the while their children are doing too, but, it’s okay to force a 17 year old girl into a marriage and not even consider adoption as a choice. What’s more Palin does not know what the VP does. As for drunk driving, Jason, he could have killed someone, but that’s okay, it was someone on the right doing it. Sarah Palin wants to run a gas line through Canada and ship jobs out of the country, instead of running it through Alaska and keeping the jobs here. And you keep your trip about endorsements of Obama off my blog before I draw a straight line to demonstrate how much they resemble the Nazi Party.
