Paris Hilton Responds to John McCain

Political campaigns each election churns out the usual campaign ads of attack and counter attack; it has become an expected norm for campaigns, especially presidential campaigns. Every now and then there are classics produced that will be remembered long after they were aired. One of the best, if not the best attack ad, came from the 1964 Lyndon B. Johnson presidential campaign that ran only once since it was believed to back fire on him since it was believed it would create sympathy for the other candidate, Barry Goldwater. The ad has been referred to as Daisy Girl and is an exceptional classic from the Cold War Era, since then there have been other classics, but that one is the one by which all others are judged.

Fast forward to the 2008 presidential campaign; John McCain puts out an ad attacking his rival Barack Obama. The ad goes after Obama’s almost rock star popularity, so the McCain campaign put out an ad referred to as Celeb; there is nothing extraordinary about the ad that except it contained well know heiress and celebrity Paris Hilton, a brazen young woman if there ever was one. Paris Hilton is the queen of pop culture, unashamed, and outspoken. Not to be out done by John McCain she responded with an attack ad of her own against McCain that has become an instant classic. Ms. Hilton produced her counter attack ad that has launched The Paris Hilton Presidential Campaign. It is a masterpiece mocking John McCain and probably will not be the last one coming from her. What makes this political ad so unique is that comes from a non presidential candidate, a first of its kind. Well done, Paris, well done.
